The RFID based reader is designed
to be mounted in a vehicle for reading
proximity cards.
The reader has the following features:
1. Works on Car Battery voltage.
The battery voltage variation of
8V to 20VDC is supported.
2. Reads RFID cards. The reading
distance is approximately 4 to 10
cms.
3. Switch Provision for IN/OUT.
This can be used to Logging
information of Entry and Exit of
the passenger.
4. Uses RS232 levels for output
which gives the card number.
The protocol is custom made.
5. The unit is electrically, mechanically designed to work in harsh environment.

This Standalone Proximity reader unit is a dedicated reader unit and uses 125 KHz passive cards. The unit is powered by 12Vdc power supply. This unit is exclusively used for Access control purpose. A master RFID card is supplied along with the unit. Slave RFID cards can be configured using this master card (please refer to the procedure). On flashing the configured card, an open collector output is provided which can be used to connect a relay for further control. The product is exclusively developed for Automotive purposes, the components can withstand the temperature ranges from sub‐zero to 85 deg . Centigrade.
The converter consists of a high performance automotive power relay with one change over contacts
with 12V /24Vdc coil voltage.
This product can be used in the following automobile applications:

• Radiator fans
• Air‐conditioner controls
